Victim Services of Durham Region educate students on human trafficking

Victim Services of Durham Region provides psycho-social education to every grade 9 class in Durham Region on human trafficking. Topics include: how human trafficking occurs, how to spot human trafficking, how to prevent human trafficking, nuances of consent, sexting, porn, and healthy relationships. Staff from VSDR include: Jasminder Sekhon and Samantha Banducci.

Victim Services supports anyone who identifies as a victim through crisis intervention and connecting victims and survivors to longer term resources and supports. We also provide gender-based violence and human trafficking workshops for service providers and consent and human trafficking prevention workshops for youth.
