Combatting Human Trafficking in Durham & Ontario

During the debate of Bill 251 - the Combatting Human Trafficking Act- I was glad to share the tireless work of the Human Trafficking Coalition, the Durham Region Police's Human Trafficking Unit, and community agencies who are supporting the needs of victims, and working to end the scourge of this heinous crime.

I outlined the goals of the Human Trafficking Model, and hope the government will craft future legislation and programs that prevent this crime and give resources to frontline partners who know where it is needed most.
